THE PURPOSE OF THE ETCC IS TO PROMOTE SAFE  WORKING PRACTICES, DEMONSTRATE IMPROVEMENTS AND INNOVATIONS IN TECHNIQUES & EQUIPMENT, AND TO PROVIDE INDUSTRY RECOGNITION TO THE PUBLIC.  IT IS ALSO AN OPPORTUNITY FOR CLIMBERS AND PROFESSIONALS TO GATHER AND EXCHANGE IDEAS WITH EACH OTHER.

RULES. 

The International Tree Climbing Championship Rules book is available for download from the ISA web site and is freely available to everyone. 

It is the responsibility of all those involved with the Competition to have read and to understand the Rules.  The following rules are additional to the ITCC Rules. 

ELIGIBILITY 

 

EQUIPMENT 

    All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) shall be manufactured to meet or exceed minimum European Industry Standards for Work at Height.   If equipment is not clearly labelled with a relevant marking, it is the competitors responsibility to provide evidence to the Head Judge that the equipment has been manufactured to meet the accepted European Standard for that piece of equipment and it’s application.

DIRECTIONS

If you're driving from the north or south, follow the signs towards the Brussels international Airport, Zaventem, but exit at junction 23, the R22, towards Woluwe, continue straight on through lots of traffic lights (stop on red!) A short tunnel and more lights for 5.5Km, to where the road has a left turn junction (by the side of the Woluwe Park), 200m after this junction and immediately under a foot bridge is a set of traffic lights, turn right, on to 'vorstlaan' continue for 1.3Km till you see a Texaco station, turn right before the station, then 2nd exit right,on to 'Park Van Woluwe Laan' for 900m to the site


If your flying, at the airport there is a tourist info desk in the arrivals
area and they can give you maps ect. A taxi to the park will cost about 25 euro; or,  go down 2 floors and take the train to the centre it will cost 3 euro; then get the 1A tram to Hermann Debroux terminal (end of line)then continue walking straight along, or wait for the No 42 bus, past a large Carrefour Hypermarket, bars and restaurants ect for 1km till you get to a Texaco petrol station (and Mimi mart) turn left up the side of the station and walk for another 900m to the site.

PROGRAM - EUROPEAN TREE CLIMBING CHAMPIONSHIPS

FRIDAY 15TH JUNE 2007

The Registration Desk will open at 12.00 noon.

All Competitors must report to the desk before closing at 7.30pm.

All Competitors must complete a Waiver Form and present this and their gear check form to the Scorer at the Registration Desk.

All Fees if not already paid, must be paid at Registration.

There is no facility for Credit/Debit Cards at the site. Cash(Euros) only.  Entry Fee €100 per person. 

The Gear Check (Mandatory for every Competitor) will commence from 12.00 noon Friday and close at 8.30pm Friday Evening.  No exceptions.  All gear and PPE must meet approved standards.  The Head Judges decision is final on any disputed items. Items not previously submitted for checking will not be allowed to be used during the competition. 

Walk Round/Questions will start at ??? Friday Night  All preliminary events will be held on Saturday. 

SATURDAY 16TH JUNE 2007

Competition Events commence at 8.00am Saturday.  Competitors more than 5 minutes late for their event will not take part in that event. 

SUNDAY 17th  JUNE 2007

Head to Head Footlock Event will take place at 9.00am on Sunday morning.  The top placed competitors in the prelim event will be eligible to take part in this event.   This is not mandatory if any competitor does not wish to take part they may elect not to. 

WOMENS MASTERS  Will take place at 10.00am   Sunday morning. 

MENS MASTERS  Will take place at 12.00noon Sunday morning. 

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES WILL COMMENCE AT 3.30PM 

ESTIMATED TIME OF EVENT CLOSURE – 5.00PM. 

Each competitor will receive a timetable of Their Events at registration 

Competiton T Shirts etc., will be handed out at the Walk Round together with their competitors numbers which should be pinned onto their shirts.
